Terms of use
Last updated 16 October 2026
Draft: to be checked before Dropnote takes real payments.
These terms apply when you use Dropnote at dropnotes.co.uk. By creating an account you agree to them.
What Dropnote is
Dropnote is an AI-powered revision tool. It turns study material you upload into notes, practice questions, flashcards and feedback on your practice answers. You must be at least 16 to create an account.
Academic integrity
Dropnote is for revision and practice only. You must not use it to produce coursework, essays or any other work you submit for assessment, and you are responsible for following your university's rules on the use of AI.
Your uploads
- Only upload material you are allowed to use for your own study, such as your module's lecture slides.
- Don't share study packs made from someone else's material outside your own account.
- You keep any rights you have in your material. You give us permission to process it only to provide the service to you.
Accuracy
Packs, marks and answers are generated by AI and can contain mistakes. Always check them against your lecture material and your lecturer's guidance. Marks from Dropnote are practice feedback, not a prediction of your real exam result.
Free trial and subscription
- New accounts get a 3-day free trial. No card is needed and you won't be charged unless you subscribe.
- The subscription costs £25 a month (or the price shown when you subscribe) and renews monthly until you cancel.
- You can cancel any time from your account page. You keep access until the end of the month you've paid for. We don't refund part-months, except where the law requires it.
- Discount codes apply only as described when they're issued and can be withdrawn at any time.
- If we change the price, we'll tell you before it affects your next payment.
Fair use
To keep Dropnote fast and affordable for everyone, each account can make up to 40 study packs, have up to 300 answers marked and ask up to 200 lecture questions in any 30 days. One account is for one person; don't share your login.
Your account
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or misuses the service. You can stop using Dropnote and ask us to delete your account at any time.
Our responsibility
We work hard to keep Dropnote available and accurate, but we provide it “as is” and can't guarantee it will always be available or error-free. We are not responsible for exam results or for decisions you make based on the content. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under UK consumer law or any liability that cannot legally be limited.
Changes and law
We may update these terms and will tell you about important changes. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
